Advance Care Planning & MAiD

The Woolwich Community Health Centre recently hosted a health promotion workshop that delved into the crucial topics of Advance Care Planning (ACP) and Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD). Collaborating with representatives from Grand River Hospital and Hospice Waterloo, the workshop aimed to empower community members with valuable information about making informed healthcare decisions and understanding end-of-life options. Attendees gained insights into the importance of ACP, enabling them to express their healthcare preferences and values for future medical scenarios. The inclusion of MAiD discussions facilitated a comprehensive exploration of end-of-life choices. The workshop not only fostered a supportive environment for open dialogue but also provided essential resources to guide individuals through the planning process. For those who couldn't attend, the recording of the session is below along with the resources provided.
